For fans of turn-based tactical games, 7.62 feels familiar from the start. The overall map shows the Latin country of Algeira, which is split up into a safe zone and a restricted zone. Hired to find a man who has scammed some very dangerous men out of a considerable amount of money. A huge sum will be waiting for you should you manage to capture your target and return him to these men.
Pick your first mercenary from a list of pre-determined men and women, then 7.62 throws you into a world that most draws inspiration from the Jagged franchise. Weapons can be purchased only in towns or, more efficiently, pilfered from the dead after a successful combat session. Lucky for you, Algeira is a highly unstable country. Weapon traders can be found in every town.
Just as plentiful as the weapons are the opportunities to earn cash. Your seed money will run out very soon and your chances of survival are next to none if you don't team up . Earn money by doing other people's dirty work with companions that is the main focus of 7.62. There are several factions in the country. Take a job for one faction will give you problems with others . Soon you are going to have to choose which faction to support. Oppressive regime or the rebels? Hmm, tricky stuff.
