$29.99

A classic Action / RPG developed Arise and KranX in the vein of Baldurs Gate 2 in terms of the actual play mechanics with a firm nod to Fallout in terms of the rule system. A Farewell to Dragons is based on the fantasy universe of Sergey Lukyanenko and Nikolay Perumov.

The player character Victor, is a Doctor who gets whisked away to Middle Earth by a mysterious teenage girl, who in turn becomes the players companion. Middle World is in crisis and Victor seems to be the key to the future – You have Magic and spells at your disposal and if that is not enough you can resort to cold steel or gunplay to progress through Middle Earth to the Outer World.

We have not had the chance to play through the game to completion at this point, but it sits clearly in the classic party based action / RPG. There is a main overarching quest but there are lots of side mission / quests and choices to come wade through. From what we have seen so far there is no lack of depth to the game or indeed ambition!

Now if we could just find the time in the day to play through! That would be nice. If anyone can invent time, could they get in touch?
