Where Eagles Dare! The Guns of Navarone! These were proper war films. Not all the froth and bubble of Saving Private Ryan. No, these films were about good old fashioned Derring Do!

Commandos, deep behind enemy lines! Taking on impossible odds. Achieving their objective despite cock ups and double crosses, often with a beautiful lady conveniently tucked away somewhere.

Really, as War should be.

Pyro, the Developer of the Commandos series understands this. They deliver rock hard challenges with no promises of being home by Christmas. Commandos brings sneaky and devious challenges to the player in a series of squad based tactical challenges that will at times have you tearing your hair out. Have your heart racing with tension and will give you a deep sense of satisfaction when you do manage to complete and objective, let along complete a game.

The series of games build atmosphere and tension at every step and whilst these games may not be for everyone and have levels of challenge that can have you hurling your mouse at the screen > you will know you have been in a war and you may only ever feel comfortable talking about your experiences with another veteran rather than some member of civvy street who has gorged themselves on Medal of Honor and thinks they know something of your War.

So if you think you have what it takes to be a Commando, go on then, but this is not for the fainthearted, this is for the committed. People who can understand that life is not perfect and that sometimes you will fall short but you will never give up!
