Death to Spies
Sshhh, hiding in the shadows is SMERSH’s top man. A deadly agent intent on removing the enemies of the Soviet Union. SMERSH literally means “Death to Spies” and that is what this game is all about. If you are familiar with Agent 47 of the Hitman games then you have an idea of what you are getting into. This game is reminiscent of Splinter Cell with a mix of stealth and problems / puzzles that you need to overcome to progress in this game
The challenges you will face are rock hard. Guards react to sound – always! And if you start shooting you can be sure a horde of jackbooted Nazi’s are going to converge on your location. It really is a case of immersing yourself in the behavior of the enemy and looking for gaps. The levels are open ended so you have more than one way of cracking the nut.
Donning the uniforms of enemy dead is one way of getting past guards but if you shot said enemy in the chest his uniform is not going to be much use. You need to dispatch them with a knife across the throat!
Death to Spies brings a level of tension to the player. The game is does not give you any breaks and you will find yourself mopping sweat of your brow as you try to get through to your next objective
