With the WWII theme becoming an increasingly popular segment of the first-person shooter market, Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30 was created to show gamers the true realism of war – with authentic missions crafted using after-action reports, aerial reconnaissance images and eye-witness accounts.
Based on the true story of the 101st Airborne paratroopers who led the D-Day invasions, players will encounter historically accurate events and environments as they take on their perilous journey through 20 epic single-player and ten multiplayer missions. This first-person shooter is so realistic that it has even earned endorsements from the Veterans of Foreign Wars Foundation and the Patton Museum.
It seems incredible that such a saturated genre can still produce something fresh, but Gearbox deserves big manly bear hugs and ferocious slaps on the back for delivering on its promises. Its current chart success is well deserved, and for those of you bored of Medal Of Honor and jaded about Call Of Duty's me-too approach and stubbornly unconvinced that Brothers In Arms really doesn't offer anything new, we suggest you try it. You might just love it.
