Runaway: A Twist of Fate is the third game in the Runaway series. The game continues to blur the lines between a traditional adventure game and an animated movie. It looks and feels like something you could simply sit back and watch, but Pendulo Studios have packed the game with puzzles that test the mind and powers of observation.
The Runaway games deliver traditional point and click adventure fare - with a healthy level of humor and the a sense of romance between the two main characters of Gina and Brian. Being the 3rd game in the series, there is a certain need to have played the previous installments to get all the background on the characters, but equally this game does not need you to have played the previous installments to "get it".
The quality of the voice acting and the animation and settings are of the highest order, so that's all good and the signature humor of the series remains intact. The game kicks off with Brian in a mental institution in New York (You'd be mad to go anywhere else!) and Gina determined to get him out.
Why he is there, what has he done? Who is behind the brutal murder all span the length and breadth of America with a dusting of oddball characters and lantern jawed heroes you know what you are getting when you dig into a Runaway adventure.
