A point and click adventure that delivers on great graphics and some well rounded characters, The Dream of the Turtle is the sequel to Runaway.

The overall vibe of the game is something of a throwback to the classic LucasArts point & click adventures of yesteryear, so here is not the place for innovation. More a case of creating a quirky set of characters, add some great voice acting and a level of humor that keeps the game pace ticking over.

The main characters from the first game (Brian and Gina) trot across the globe, starting in Hawaii, transiting through the arctic wastes and many points in between, looking for treasure on a sunken pirate ship, encountering all kinds of whacked out adventure games characters from the slightly mad professor, the Vietnam Vet who is somehow still at war to the dopey Australian Surfer Dude...

The game retains enough charm to take you through the puzzles and advance to the next set of challenges and whilst never hitting the heights of the LucasArts opus, you do forgive it for a least having a good go at trying.

In short if you like adventure games, Brian and Gina are worth getting to know.
